What a joyful morning!.  It was an absolute delight to confirm Wendy as a member of the Methodist Church and to welcome her, Jaine and Gerald as members of the church family at Thackley.  They each gave very moving testimonies of how God has led them to this point, and there were hugs and tears all round as we celebrated. A big "THANK YOU" to everyone who contributed to our Christmas Fair. There was a really friendly buzz about the place, despite the snow! During Lent we encouraged members to put a few coppers in a jam jar each time they used water; we've done this for several years now. We’ve just spent the weekend at Abbott Hall, a Christian Guild hotel, in Grange Over Sands, and what a wonderful weekend it was! We were blessed by good weather, good food and good fellowship. In order to make this happen and so as not to make costs prohibitive, we agreed as a church to raise the funds to cover the children’s accommodation. The young people also played their part in fund-raising.
