Regular activities

Supporting the community groups that meet each week, is an important element of our church life. For safeguarding reasons, we do not give details of meeting times. Please use the contact page if you want further information.
Room bookings: We have rooms available for community groups at reasonable hourly rates. We regret that we are unable to take bookings for private parties from beyond our church family as we do not have enough volunteers to manage the premises for such activities.

Let's talk about death - Death cafe

After much planning, prayer and preparation, we held our Death Café on Saturday 14 May 2016. Whilst we cannot claim to have been inundated with visitors, we had some who had made the journey from Kirkstall and we know that we met the very real needs of some for whom bereavement is still very raw.

The ‘ Grave talk’ cards we’d placed on the coffee tables prompted some great conversations and despite them focusing on various aspects of death, gentle laughter could be heard throughout the morning.

Unbeknown to us at the time, it also provided an important time of preparation for the team which enabled them to support one of the team members who subsequently had to cope with a family death ... God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform!

It was also good to see folk busy being creative with the craft activities, whilst engaging in meaningful conversation.

Thanks also to Cornerstone Christian Books for providing a bookstall in a box.

There were lessons we can learn from; however,…

BabyBallet - Report to General Church Meeting

On behalf of all our students and staff at babyballet® Bradford North I would like to thank you, the church, and all its volunteers for running the café on a Saturday morning. It has proven very popular and encouraged our classes to grow to 4 in the morning, seeing 38 students each week.

The hall is always well clean, warm and welcoming for our little ones.

As a dance school we did our first show, for which we rehearsed in your hall and it was a great success, much enjoyed by all that took part and watched. We are planning another one for this year in June.

Guides Report to General Church Meeting

We once again have had a busy and hectic year. We currently have 35 girls, 4 leaders and a unit helper, and I can say without doubt that both the girls and the leaders have all had a lot of fun!

Some highlights from our year have been….
Having numerous girls attend 3 camps – Badge weekend, Survival Camp and SCAMPS camp (even though we did have to decamp at Scamps due to a horrendous storm that flooded the site!) and a ‘sleepover’ at church – not that we got much sleep. Attending the Armature Dramatic Panto at the little theatre Completing numerous badges, including Recycled Fashion Go for It, Circus skills, Health and Well-being and Free Being Me. Attending Flamingofling, at Flamingo Land, alongside 5,500 other Rainbow, Brownies, Guides, Seniors and Leaders from across North East England! Bring Your Mum to Guides Night – and boy did we throw the mums in at the deep end! Marshmallow tower building, a Guiding alphaspagetti crossword, and blindfold Jam sandwich making! Circle dancing wit…
