This year we are using Advent & Christmas materials produced by the Methodist Church of Great Britain that encourage us to scratch beneath the surface to explore and reflect upon what God is saying to us. You can engage with these through either this blog, or our Facebook page.

Advent Baubles
In previous years we have decorated our railings with printed baubles telling the Christmas story. This year, we invite you to decorate our railings with your own Advent bauble.
What you need to do
Write on your bauble a prayer or the name of a loved one you wish to remember and then tie it to our church railings. Please encourage those around you, young or young at heart, to do likewise.
Let's scratch below the surface and use our baubles to let go of the things that hold us, and offer prayers to God who loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus, as a baby in a manger. Through His birth, His life and His death, Jesus showed us how God wants us to live, and how we can let go of the past and experience a new beginning filled with hope, peace and love.
